What does your city mean to you?
Made in Manchester is a multilingual poem that was written by the people of Manchester in the languages that they speak.
The poem itself is an ongoing project, and the aim is to get close to 200 languages contributing, but we were lucky enough to include 42 different languages and people in our film version of the poem.
This incredible project was done with Manchester City Council and Young Shakepeares, and stems from a core poem which was written by Manchester poet, Zahid Hussain. Each contributor then added their own verses about what Manchester means to them personally, and select lines were taken to create the poem in this film.
